Last Minute Parent Conference Prep Ideas

Did parent conferences sneak up on you this year?  I know the feeling!  Make your life easier by running a student led parent-teacher conference!

You can read my philosophy on these conferences, but you probably don't have time for that.  So let's get right to it.

Student Reflection Sheet
  • Student Reflection Sheet: Have students complete this form in class, before conferences. This can be shared either by the students (if you choose to invite them) or by you.  Great springboard for conversation.  Click on the picture to see it at my TpT store

  • Student Quarterly Reflection: This quick brainstorming sheet would be great to share with parents.  I complete one quarterly which you can also be sent home to parents with report cards.  Use it anytime you want to reflect with your class.

On the top half of the form, we brainstorm as a class projects and activities we've worked on for the quarter.  Students write these ideas in the boxes and then use this to pull from as they reflect.

Then students fill in the bottom half independently.  Reflecting on what they've accomplished thus far.  Easy way to share all you've been working on, even if you haven't been collecting, organizing, and storing student work (there's always next year).
